Tri-County Urban League Receives $15,000 Donation From Ameren Illinois
PEORIA, IL — The Tri-County Peoria Urban League is pleased to announce a $15,000 donation from Ameren Illinois to support the league’s education, employment, and counseling programs.
“All of us at the Tri-County Urban League are grateful for the support from our friends at Ameren. This gift is especially critical to our agency during these difficult economic times,” said Tom Romanowski, Tri-County Urban League Board Member. “With Ameren’s support, we will continue to provide our clients with essential services and help advance the regional economy and quality of life in Central Illinois.”
For the last 48 years, the Tri-County (Peoria) Urban League's mission has been to promote education and improve the employability skills, self-sufficiency, and social well-being of needy individuals in Central Illinois. The organization serves nearly 4,000 people each year.
